Paint Sophie's Room: Check

Yay! One project down, plenty more to go. We picked out the room colors last week and decided this weekend would be a good time to get started on the baby room. We painted one wall a dark pink, or in Disney colors, "Snow White's Song," and the other three walls are a beige-peach color or "Fluff-n-Stuff."

On Friday Sophie's room was cluttered with boxes of diapers, toys, clothes and a crib still in its box. Today it's painted with fresh new colors and ready to be put together. Our next big project is to re-finish Sheldon's old dresser so I have somewhere to put all her cute little outfits!

Here are some before and afters of the room.

Beautiful colors for your littel Sophie! Aren't you glad that's done? The rest will be the fun stuff, not work...hahaha

Man, I wish we could paint Ian's room. I have the perfect color picked out, too. Stupid leasing company.

Yay, fun! Can't wait to see the finished project. No pressure, though. You've still got time!

I'm so glad the painting is done. Now we can start putting the room together. Our project for next weekend - sanding and refinishing Sheldon's old dresser to match the crib.

@Karen: Just curious - what would the color be if you could paint Ian's room?

It's called "Light Slate" in whatever the line is at Walmart. It's a very pale blue-gray.
